OPTIMUM Sailing Academy Dehler 30ods AETHER and OPTIMUM 4 competed in Posidonia Cup last Friday chartered by THENAMARIS and LALIZAS for the prestigious event respectively. Both crews put the training time before hand to get used to the boat to maximize the fun factor during the race itself. The fresh wind conditions that prevailed, suited best Team LALIZAS with OPTIMUM 4 and allowed them to climb in the silver spot on the podium. Team THENAMARIS posted a respectable 10th place and plan to continue their cooperation with O.S.A. and allow more THENAMARIS associates to enjoy sailing as a healthy and life changing sport/hobby/activity.
On the weekend LAVORO III and OPTIMUM 4 competed on the 2nd part of the Spring Series organized by N.A.O.Voulas with the crews fighting winds up to 30 knots on Saturday all the way to zero on Sunday in two coastal races. In the end LAVORO III posted a 5th in the series ahead of OPTIMUM 4 in 6th place. AETHER opted to race in double handed mixed crew mode in the weekend in a fundraising event/race organized by H.O.R.C. Evi and Jerry posted a 2nd on windy Saturday followed by a 7th on windless Sunday to end up in 4th place for the event.
The OPTIMUM Academy is supported by LALIZAS and all three O.S.A. boats are fully equipped with LALIZAS safety gear and display LALIZAS logos in the hull and the sails.
